Hallo fellow humans.
It was Memorial Day weekend 2004 …
Bob took the band by his house and introduced us to his bro, Sam. The year since
then has witnessed the creation of our first DVD ... another mongrel of which
we’re very proud. After viewing hours and hours of road footage from shows,
behind the scenes, video clip shoots and interviews, the Cahill Bros have
created with us an on-the-scene, in-the-moment and at times, in-your-face (well
… in our face) look inside the workings of the BROTHER beast.
What does it mean to be an independent artist?
What keeps us doing what we do?
What does it all mean … the thousands of miles, big gigs, little gigs, the
causes and the challenges?
We’ve tried to be frank, open and honest as we consider these often-asked
questions. It’s made us look at where we’re at, where we’ve come from and what
we want to be.
A year to the day, Sam made the final edit tweaks and the creation is now in
production.
The dvd release party was held at the brilliant Sellersville Theatre near
Philly ... hometown of the Cahill Bros. The event was a
black-tie-mongrel-style and included the premier showing of Mongrel
Mythology, followed by a full performance from the band.
To launch this milestone in the BROTHER timeline, we also issued a limited release CD which will included two tracks straight from the veranda
sessions in Australia … just as they went down, with the kangaroos and
galahs in April.
So without further ado, it gives us great pleasure to announce ...
Mongrel Mythology is now loose.
We strongly urge you to get bitten.
peace.
