BROTHER’s 10th indie release, Pax Romana MMV is now
available. Includes new music, remixes, footage from the 'making
of' and lyrics poetry book style.
“It was great to be back in the studio with Dalbo. It’s the first
time since ‘Your Backyard’ in ’98.” Angus said. Dalbo describes it
as ‘a great pleasure’ to be back in the studio with Hamish, Angus,
and his old friend, producer Guy Erez.
How does the Aussie trio describe their new CD? “It’s got a
Celtic, middle-eastern, mantra, droney, didg, groove, tribal,
vocals, and guitars kind of vibe. We explore new territory here
and at same time make a definite return to our roots.”
“Three words. Fat, deep, sensual' – Hamish. And for Dalbo? "Pax
Romana is evocative and reflects the journey of life in all of its
tensions and joys.’
Knowing their fans like to be part of the band’s musical journey,
BROTHER released an advance pressing of the CD in June. “It
was already shaping up to be a real journey CD.” says Hamish. “Our
aim was a continuous experience, an endless flow until the end.”
BROTHER then went back into the studio and made it even
better. “We remixed the music, added another track, added video
footage from ‘the making of’, and included the lyrics poetry book
style.” The enhanced CD is a first for the band. “We’ve been
heading toward this a long time. Yes, we’re excited.”

'I just received the song...what a beauty. You guys and your songs are such a
blessing to this earth, not to mention my life. If life could only be as lovely
and insightful as your music. If only we could all treat each other with the
same care you give each note of music and each lyric you share with us. If
9/11/01 is what is wrong with this world then Oh What a Lovely War and you
lovely 'soul-diers' (I made that word up just for you guys) are what's right and
what's possible if we all just demand peace ...and settle for nothing less!
I love you guys and so appreciate your talent, spirit and commitment to that
which is possible' ... Laura B., USA
