Just before we hit the road for Pennsylvania and Mayfair fest my
laptop went on the blink. As we run some loops from this - in
particular the drones that enable Angus and i to put down and pick
up without the guts falling out of the vibe - this was not good.
So of course the advice i get is ... 'this needs to go in for repair'.
But i still had my secret weapon ... Jay at the Grove Apple store in LA.
True to form, Jay approached the situation not as a problem but as a
challenge. Is it really all in how you look at things? Fixed. |

We were met by DidgeriDrew at Philly
airport. The next day before the festival we called in for a live to air
with Charles James
Blend Host on Bethlehem's WDIY (88.1 FM).
The station has supported BROTHER for many years.
Program Director, Neil Hever honoured us with his take on the noise we
make when he wrote ...
"...they have a distinct Australian sound to
their music - something in the phrasing and pronunciation. The muscular
quality and flexibility of their arrangements also bring to mind other
great Aussie bands like Midnight Oil and The Hoodoo Gurus... I can hear
the unique combination of Australian traditional music and popular music
in their sound...full of life."

Mayfair was a wonderful show ... the crowd
filled the big circus tent and there was an amazing energy. This was
booked by long-time friend, Kathy Krauter Bullock from the good old days
at MusicFest. Kathy's just had a baby so we didn't get to see her
(something about having no sleep and a baby to feed every few hours?)
... but the staff |

and crew were magnificent. Following us was Enter the
Haggis...(entre le haggi) ... these blokes were even more pumping than
the last time.

The O'Grady Quinlan Irish dancers tipped the show at Mayfair over the
edge once again.
